Halloween!

For his third Halloween, Owen went as a lion. And a VERY FEROCIOUS lion at that:
Just like any proper Oscar-gown photo shoot, this costume required a photo of the back:
While Owen has enjoyed two previous Halloweens, this Halloween was his trick-or-treating DEBUT. We wondered what he would think of it. We practiced the routine all day, and Owen couldn't WAIT to tell someone, "Trick or treat!" Here he is with Bill, approaching his first house:
Our neighbor Debbie came to the door and got things off to a good start. It clicked that people were going to put something fun in his bucket in response to his call. Now we were having fun.
Owen and Bill heading to the next house:
Stopping to practice our TERRIBLY FRIGHTENING ROOOOAAAARRRRRRRRRRRS:
And another house and another house and another house (I was 4-months pregnant, by the bye, and still suffering from round-the-clock nausea - you can see my best effort Halloween costume below: an orange t-shirt and yoga pants):
We figured Owen would last for about 10 minutes trick-or-treating, but over an hour later we were still going. Here is the final shot of the lion, exhausted, taking inventory of his prey:
A bountiful hunt, indeed.
